As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, CaringLink's primary concern is the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff, including our sub-contracted colleagues. Therefore, we are undertaking only essential, emergency installations, maintenance and response services.

What the service looks like during COVID-19

Not much has changed but after many phone calls of concern we thought we'd reassure you.

Your alarm call is received at the emergency monitoring centre which is operated in a way that enables staff to work flexibly from more than 1 site. This means that during isolation staff can work independently of others, so your emergency calls will continue as they always have.

Installation and maintenance visits have all but ceased. Only critical maintenance will continue to ensure alarm equipment works correctly and only emergency installations that assist the NHS in discharging patients will go ahead.

Whilst our installation/maintenance staff are at your property, they will ask that the minimum distance of 2 meters is adhered to from anyone in the property. We are also abiding with government PPE and hygiene standards.

Emergency Response procedures are changing to safeguard the health and safety of staff and to ensure that we do not inadvertently spread the virus to other customers or staff members.

With IMMEDIATE effect, all staff emergency responders will be deployed to attend emergency situations ONLY.

We will not send emergency response teams to attend to personal care tasks, home care needs, to administer medication, shopping needs or food preparation. Please contact your family, friends or care team who can provide your personal daily care needs.

CaringLink are committed to working to minimise the effects of COVID-19 and continue to monitor the advice from the relevant bodies - Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), Public Health England (PHE) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

We thank you for your understanding and continued support in these unprecedented times.
